The George MacFloyd Blues Band, Victoria, Australia. Grassroots blues music

The band covers a wide variety of blues and boogie styles, from the slide driven sounds of the American blues pioneers, harmonica classics from Chicago, and other great artists such as Sonny Terry and Brownie MacGhee, T Bone Walker, to the relatively more modern sounds of Canned Heat, Paul Butterfield, ZZ Top, Little Charlie and the Nightcaps and Buddy Guy. We are also influenced by the English bands of the 60's, such as Peter Green and John Mayall. Of course our own Australian bands have also been an inspiration to us, Chain and Dutch Tilders amongst others and we also have original songs of our own . We generally play 45 minute sets with a 15 minute break between sets but can fit in with most plans and we can play in excess of 4 hours if required.
CD's Produced
The bands first CD, simply called "George Macfloyd was released in July 2002. The much awaited "Boosey Creek" was released in July 2003.
